Want to close window when deleting folder

This is more an annoyance than a problem.

I am a long time user of XP and in the past year have taken the plunge into 8. Whenever I delete a folder in XP, if that folder is open in an explorer window, the window automatically closes. When I delete a folder that has a window open in 8, the window simply navigates to the default explorer location. When I an doing folder maintenance, I am basically ending up with a whole bunch of open windows.

Does anyone know if there is a setting I can change to make the window of a deleted folder close automatically?

Thanks!

I just tested mine and all my folder views are set to default values. Is this the same issue you are having? If so, I do not have the answer; however, someone else may have it for you. Good luck.

Yep, that's the issue. Maybe someone will have a fix.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you but don't hold your breath too long on this one...

Cheers
