"Please Register Windows" ???

I bought this computer last January from Best Buy its a high end acer computer with windows installed on it. Iv'e preformed 2-3 formats since buying it and ever since my last one Im prompted every hour to "Please go to PC settings and activate windows 8" when i click the activate button it just loads and then goes away. I constantly have a watermark on my desktop saying "Windows 8 build 9200"

Update: I just tried activating through control panel and got this error - 0x8007007B The file name, or Volume label Syntax is incorrect

Whats wrong with my computer?

I would return to [DEL]ACER[/DEL] ASUS for repair.

Id rather not spend the 100-200$ in shipping costs and the 8 weeks without a PC. I spent a good 1300$ on this computer there is no reason why this should be happening. Hopefully I can find a resolution

Only the OEM manufacture can reset UEFI/BIOS firmware product key.

How OA3.0 works:

The OEMs have two platform servers.
One is a OA3.0 key server and one a OA3.0 reporting server.

The OEMs have a master image of windows 8 that has a master key installed.
The purpose of this key is only one thing: To make Windows 8 to be a pre-licensed version. (SLP channel)

I thought Acer were made by Asus? I think Gateway's are Acer, but I thought Acer was just a sub of Asus?
