Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software...

This the error message I get

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To
    fix the problem:
    1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
    2. Choose your language settings, and the click "next".
    3.Click "repair your computer".
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance. File:
\Boot\BCD Status: 0xc0000001 Info: The best configuration beta for your PC is
    missing or contains errors.
I have tried all the recovery options using windows 8 iso DVD - non worked

Also I did create "Windows 8 Repair Disc at the time When I upgraded from Windows 7. I tried it too - with no result.
Note: I upgraded using windows assistant.

    Welcome to Windows EightForums, Waylomana.

Is this a new tower with Windows 8 preloaded? If not, how was 8 installed? Was it an ISO you burned or an OEM?

I upgraded from Windows 7 Premium. I have been using it for over Ten months. Then about Six days ago when I turn it on and that is when the problem started.

Was it an online upgrade, fresh install from ISO you burned, or bought the install disk?

Have you installed any software as of late? Change hardware? Plug hardware in such as thumb drives, etc?

When was your last antivirus scan? Does it say it found anything?

Can you boot to safe mode?

I did edit my post but here it is again.
It was an online upgrade. I have never installed any software unless the automated windows programs plus I was using Comcast "constant guard".

I am sorry for not answering all the questions.

    Q. Have you installed any software as of late? Change hardware? Plug hardware in such as thumb drives, etc?
Answer: I did not install any software, not change hardware, but yes I did plug the thumb drive and I tried plugging it back while booting.

    Q. When was your last antivirus scan? Does it say it found anything?
Answer. Usually it scans on the background but I didn't see any warning message.

    Q. Can you boot to safe mode?
    Answer. No

That's quite alright. No need to apologize. We all learn the ropes at new things.

I feel I made a mistake here. I should have asked you to start another thread with your problem so as not to insult the OP and confuse others.

I am going to request aministration to move your part of this thread to another. Please bear with me. I'll be back.

The admin I wrote is not online, so in the meantime....

I'm surprised your repair disk did nothing! UGH! Have you tried that more than once? If not, try a few more times. Perhaps that disk got scratched or corrupted some how? You either have to get that to work, get another 8 install disk to work with, or get the thing to boot some how to do repairs, preferably in safe mode.

If somehow you get it to boot, do these:

SFC /SCANNOW Command - Run in Windows 8

DISM - Fixing Component Store Corruption in Windows 8

Also run a full virus scan as well.

I've got to get to work. I'll be watching all day via phone, you may post, but won't have a lot of time or resources to help. Someone else may come along to help as well.

    Good luck!
