Problems waking from Sleep Mode

I have purchased a brand-new desktop with Windows 8. After setting up and playing around with Power Options, I had set my computer to 1)turn the display off after 10 minutes 2)put the computer to sleep after 15 minutes and 3)require a password upon wakeup. Everything worked how it was supposed to.

Last night, my friend and I replaced the stock PSU with a more powerful one I bought online. I'm not very tech-savvy so I was just happy my computer powered on and everything seemed to be working fine. I was wrong.

When my computer goes to sleep (timer or forced), I can no longer wake it up with my keyboard or mouse (wireless set) as I was able to before. I have to hit the power button on the tower. That seems to be the only problem as of right now...but last night it was doing even weirder things. Last night I set the sleep timer to 1 minute so that I could test whatever was going on. After a minute, the display would turn off but the fan and fan lights on the tower would still be running. It would not wake with the keyboard or mouse, and when I hit the power button on the tower it would shut off. I can't remember if it was resuming from sleep or booting up when I pressed the button a second time...

I don't know what changed but at least the computer is waking up from sleep now. Any ideas about how to fix the mouse/keyboard problem? I don't know how changing the PSU affected all this...like I said I don't know much about the inner workings of a computer so I hope I didn't mess anything up in there :\
