Hi,

"C:\windows\SYSTEM32\POWRPROF.dll is either designed to run on windows or contains an erroe. Try installing the programm agaian using the original installation media or contact your system adminsistrator or the software vendor for support. error ststus 0xc000012f"

on clicking ok I get fatal error "Failed to load library Powrprof.dll"

I tried running sfc\scannow from cmd prompt but again the same error came
"C:\windows\SYSTEM32\POWRPROF.dll is either designed to run on windows or contains an erroe. Try installing the programm agaian using the original installation media or contact your system adminsistrator or the software vendor for support. error ststus 0xc000012f"

Could anyone please help me out to resolve the issue ?

A shot in the dark, but try sfc /scannow in administrator command prompt.

Then --- Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Then restrart & run sfc again.

The next step would be a refresh or restore.

also do a full scan for trojans/viruses , corrupt registry entries are also known to cause powrprof.dll errors , though it seems likely you just have a corrupt .DLL , try going back to a previous saved point using system restore perhaps.

I like David's and Wullail's suggestions! Hopefully, one of them will work.

POWRPROF.dll is either designed to run on windows or contains an error.

I'm guessing if you try all of their suggestions, you may get it to work; however, if it is due to a malware infection, there may be more issues that begin to surface.

designed to run on windows
- Could be due to malware

- Could be a corrupted dll

Good luck.
