C drive shows 60GB instead of 700GB after recovery.

I have Samsung Laptop with Windows 8 installed. I have 2 partitions 200 GB and the rest whole drive as C drive which after recovery drive amounts to be around 700 GB.
Yesterday, I tried Samsung Recovery to get a factory image of C drive. Firstly recovery failed twice and then the third attempt worked almost fine. Recovery said boot file was corrupted and it recovered. But when I opened my computer I had two drives, 60 GB and 200GB. The rest of the space wasnt there. I checked in disc management, Partitions map said C drive had 700 GB. But in the description it shows only 60 GB. The other partition 200 GB is intact. I tried doing samsung recovery again and again but the problem persists.

Thanks in Advance.

Recovery has probably been system prepared to install on a 60GB partition the rest of the drive is probably just unallocated - do as SIW2 recommends to check...

But when I bought my laptop a month ago i got only one partition C drive as a whole.
Also, In the disc management window at one place it shows 707 GB (bottom) and in the list details it shows 59.9 GB.

Yes, it shouldn't be doing that.

In disk mgmt, rt click c and shrink it a little bit, a gb or two is fine. Then extend it again. See if that fixes it.

Seems like you have a few recovery install partitions left over from your botched recoveries... nonetheless I'm at a loss to explain the rest - are you sure you had 700GB? You may wanna try a 3rd party partition manager...

It seems like I have seen disk management do something like that before. Possibly a glitch with some info being placed incorrectly.

I suppose you have rescanned the drives while in Disk Management? If you think it might actually be showing erroneous info, you might boot to a third party partition management software to see if it shows the same.

It is a little peculiar it is showing 60 GB. The limit of a cache on an SSD being used as a cache drive is 64 GB. Not the same number, but close. I don't suppose you have the Intel Rapid Response Technology running?

i tried installing partition magic just to see the partition allocation table and it was the same problem there. Partition magic showed C partition as 700 GB but when all options are grayed out in the menu for the 700 GB drive.
I have Intel rapid store technology running all the time. I dont want to loose my data in the 200 GB partition.
