So I am trying to run a system check for a job application and the system needed to restart from the cd and after much searching I managed to figure out how to change the order in which the computer boots. I am fairly certain my cd is burned properly but when it is inserted in the drive and I restart the computer, it no longer goes to the regular windows 8, it now just goes to a blank screen. The cd drive spins for a few seconds like it is trying to read but nothing happens and I am left with a blank screen with my arrow. So my question is how do I get it to start the regular way so I can figure out where I went wrong with my cd. Ive tried the f1 f2 keys to get me back to the menu but theyre not doing anything, it's like the computer doesn't even really boot anymore. Please help I'm really hoping I didn't just brick my computer. It's a Toshiba running windows 8.

So if this helps you help me at all, I figured out a little more of what I did wrong. When I went to choose to start with a cd boot, rather than moving the cd boot up in order (my mistake did not fully read directions) I just scrolled down to it and clicked f10 to save changes and that is when everything went down hill. Please tell me this helps you help me.

I don't know what to suggest.

Did you make recovery disks when you first got the computer ?

I'm sure someone else here will soon offer help. :)

Reset the BIOS back to the set as was.
