    gpedit.msc not found

Several suggestions in Windows 8 Inside Out (Microsoft Press) say to run gpedit.msc. I have gpedit.dll but not the msc file. Suggestions?

    I also don't have it.

Means we use Home Premium or lower.

It's only available in Pro or higher.

Hello Pogo, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Since your edition of Windows 8 does not include Group Policy (gpedit.msc), you could still set these policies in Registry Editor instead. The site below is a reference of the registry location, key, and value to set for each policy.
