Task - Create to Run a Program at Startup and Log On - Windows 7 Help Forums

Open Task Scheduler.

Next Create a basic task & name it.

Next set it to run at startup.

Next choose open a program.I chose explorer.exe.

Next click Next

Do it with any program you wish.

This example bypasses the Start screen on startup. :)

I am not sure how to get to the Administrative Tools from Control Panel. I don't have the Control Panel with its sublocations such as 'all control panel items'' 'action center' or 'administrative tools' on the side bar.

Go to this folder (path below) and put a shortcut of the program(s) that you want to automatically start into that folder.

C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
