Trouble with returning shortcuts to start menu

I just bought a new Dell with Windows 8, and after installing Office 2010, I inadvertently deleted the Office program shortcuts from the Start Menu as I was placing them on the Desktop. They're also gone from the All apps menu. Can anyone offer me advice on how to put them back?

If they are on the desktop try a right click the shortcut and see if there is an option to Pin to Start. I am on my window 7 system so can't confirm.

Hello Travis, and welcome to Eight Forums.

When you right clicked on them to remove the from the "Start" screen, did you click on "Unpin from Start" or "Uninstall"?

Since they are not on your "Apps" screen, it makes be think you may have clicked on "Uninstall" since "Unpin from Start" would not remove them from the Apps screen.

Double check in your "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office##" (## will vary depending on what Office version you have installed) folder to see if it's still there and the .exe files for each Office program. If so, then you could do what Jim posted above to just Pin to Start the .exe files to have them back on the Start screen again.

    Hope this helps,
