6.2? What Kernel # do you think Win8 will have

    Hey 8Forums,

I was pondering to myself at the Kernel # that Win8 will have...I know this is early to talk about this but it is an intriguing subject...
If they redo the kernel for Win8 than it might be 7.0!

I dont think it will become 6.2.xx because i guess 6.2 will be for windows 7 service packs. So i guess windows 8 will have versions that will start from 8.xx

The only reason I could think of for it remaining in the 6.x area is for application compatibility with Windows 7 and Windows Vista

    Actually Vista SP1 and SP2 was 6.0.6001 and 6.0.6002...following precedents than 7 would be 6.1.7601 and 6.1.7602
