Hi All,
I'm new to this but have a problem. I was using Vista with Windows Live mail and when my hard drive started to get full I decided it was time to upgrade to Windows 8. I used the Windows Easy Transfer program and downloaded it onto my old PC and saved all my data to an external drive. So far so good. I then booted up my new PC and used Windows Easy Transfer to complete the operation. Everything worked fine until I looked at my email - nothing there. I have looked in the folder Users/Pete/Appdata/Local/Microsoft/Windows Mail/local folders and there are all the emails however all the names of each email are changed to 00f22E01-00001194 etc. and none will show in the inbox. I tried using EML viewer and it shows each one but it would be a nightmare having to open each one just to see which one it was. Are these all now corrupted or is there a way to recover them?
Many thanks in advance
Pete
