    I guess I have to figure out how to set the traditional IE as default.

    I take it you like to reinstall your OS over and over again on your main system until the final release, eh?
    You read my mind, man xD

    So far, Win8 has been stable enough, if not for a few bumps that I can get over easily. I haven't tested all the apps and games yet, though that's the fun part

    What's not fun is that I'd wake up one morning and just hate replacing 7 with 8, then I'd go back and would have been happy if it not were constant updates for 8 with tricks, tips, tweaks etc. that I hate missing out on xD

    I too was reluctant to make win 8 my main OS, but its speed and UI (no I dont mean metro) has convinced me. Im on win 8 now and might put win 7 back on as a dual boot.

    Ken, you are courageous. Win8 is still a bit "bulky" for me to operate it all day long.

    It is a bit daring but with a 15 minute clean install, and a 30 min restore using Acronis, I stilll expect it to break and that is the best teacher one can have. My one Irk is skype. Works for most but not for me.

    BTW I have a second HD handy in case {grin}

    I've been on Win8 for the last 5 days. I'm finding more and more I like about it.

    I'm sure going to dread setting it all back up again when the next milestone is released.

    Im staying dual boot. I did contemplate moving fully over for a week just to see how I would manage on 8 alone but what stopped me was the simple fact that Win 8 will not fully recognize my printer and flatly refuses to print - so for now, its a no go for solo!

    I wonder whether it will be possible to install the Beta over what we have now and retain all our settings.
