Black screen with ASUS and circling dots in center

I cannot get my computer to boot. It stays at the screen with the ASUS logo and a circle of dots, any ideas?

How long does it stay like that?

It never moves on

So it just stays there with the loading circle going and going?

Try starting it up, then shutting it down and doing it for a couple times in a row. This will hopefully trigger Automatic Repair.

I will try this and let you know. Been trying to figure it out all week, but I have been getting nowhere. Thanks

Is this one a new PC you bought or did you install it on an older one?

You might have to do the Automatic Repair from an install disk, I had to do that when I had the same thing happen.
