win8 not starting

win8 is not booting after automatic windows update when i used internet.
It just shows a blank sreen and power lights blinks. I use ubuntu 12.10 alongside win 8 and i am able to boot it and its working well but win8 is not starting.
Please help..

Is the HDD light blinking as well? If it is youll have to wait it out..

Power led blinking is sleep.. Is it plugged in or are you running on batteries..

If on batts, plug it in..

If plugged in, unplug it and reboot..
