So, you just did a partition check with PW? It's the same as CHKDSK, but it is run differently, so that it actually LOOKS for errors and fixes em.
When you do a Scan disk in Win 8, it does just a menial remedial check, if it finds something wrong, THEN it schedules an Automatic Repair for the next boot cycle. If so be prepared to wait 2 hours if it decides to do a full disk scan.
Not so with PW - PW unmounts the drive and makes the changes immediately. So if it finds errors on the Main Drive, it forces a reboot and it is fixed by the app during reboot, and this way it is a lot faster than Windows 8's Auto Repair.
