printing

I recently asked a question about my printer not printing...I reinstalled drivers for my HP4000 series and I was able to print until I turned my printer off and when I turned it back on my printer only printed page 1 of 1 with no info. Does anyone know why the printer would not communicate with my computer. I am using windows 8

Ok I just need a bit of info.

• Are you connecting via Wi-Fi Or Cable
• What Windows 8 Version are you running
• What word proccessor are you using

One other question - In your Printer Utilities, is it showing your ink levels? I have an HP Photosmart. I have to unplug it or my system does not boot - I plug it in when I see my User name and the rotating circle dots. It's because there are card slots on the printer and I basically have no empty drive letters left.

Once in a while, it says the printer is there but it is not really connected. I think I just unplugged it and plugged it back in, then it started showing me ink levels.

And all computers dont boot with any printer or removable storage plugged in becuase it scans the os on that drive
