Solved How to get to "Properties" of a shortcut in Win8

Very strange! I should like to have always my program windows in Maximized form.
But I'm afraid there is not a setting in Win8 to get this done (Anybody?)
Okay, then I handle the programs seperately! Until Win8 I could always rightclick a shortcut, then get "Properties", then I chose "Maximized".
But to my unpleasant surprise I only get the latest documents (Which is very handy indeed!), and a choice to "Loosen the program of the taskbar".
Can anybody help me find the Properties?

Assuming, you're talking about programs on the task bar, hold Shift when you right-click.

Maximize ALL program windows

Vadikan helped me to get to "Properties" of shortcuts; that's great!
Still, I'd like to know if someone knows whether it's possible to have automatically all windows "Maximized" instead of "Normal".

You could do it this way:

Thanks, Medab1, but... I gather that you gave the solution for Windows Explorer, while I asked if I could do it in one time for all Windows programs. You (or was'nt it you) wrote alreay: "You may have to set each one to Maximized?"
So that's notreally an answer to my question.

You need 3rd party software for this. Give Automatically Resize Your Programs - AutoSizer a whirl.

But honestly, programs usually remember the settings, so in practice you need to set up just a handful. I mean you don't need software for this :)

Okay, thanks, I will give Autosizer a try again. Tried it on Win7 and it did not really work.
In theory the programs should indeed remember the last settings, but my experience is that they don't.

It depends on a program. Most of them are fine, so you just force maximized windows on a handful of bad ones and forget about the issue :)

Having everything always maximized is not a good option, unless you've got a tiny screen. Think of a command prompt, for example.

You shouldnt have to use a program. Windows opens programs depending on how you last left it.
If you left it maximized when you closed it it should open maximized.

Otherwise Medab1's solution seems to be the answer if you are having issues with program settings.
