Windows 8 is a real problem I believe

I thought Windows 7 was bad, but thought they must have improved it with Windows 8. How wrong was I. Most of my progams wouldn't run. Its a disaster in my opinion.

I know some businesses are now allowing Windows XP to be used in place of Windows 2000, as they now believe most of the bugs have been removed. Will they ever allow Windows 8? I doubt it.

I'm not experiencing any of the problems you vaguely described. So, unless your main issue is with aesthetics I don't think your issues are OS specific. If there were an actual problem with the OS then all of us would be experiencing the same issues.

I'd point fingers at your hardware, software, drivers & firmware before I convicted the OS as being "bad".

You don't list any problems other than your programs don't run. You don't even list the programs. So basically all you are doing is complaining and you aren't really looking for help. Right?

Which year what that originally posted? 2001?

I dont see why Windows 7 was bad though. If he meant "Vista" - I don't NEED to see, heh.

He may have been a former MAC user and is unfamiliar with Windows
My experiences with Windows have been good.
Loved 2000
Didnt care much for the bubbly look of XP
Loved Vista before SP1 then hated it.. (do you want to allow?)

Windows 8 fantastic!! was a little annoyed at first with no START icon, but you get over it and find that (F3) is your new friend!
The search box will put you directly where you want to go instead of browsing through command trees. Its like the difference between an audio cassette and a CD.. You have to move linearly through the audio cassette to get to the song you want where a CD you just jump straight to it..

Mff, My systems are too expansive for F3 to work - four drives varying from 320 to 1TB in each box plys my 2TB My Book. The Search is too slow for me using F3 or any other way. As a matter of fact, Search has not worked for me since XP, when I look for something I want it to search all files and folders. In XP you could design an advanced search better.

I really don't need it anymore, I have default places where I put certain saved things.
