Hello, I am using Windows 8 Home Premium.

This question pertains to Explorer.

In Explorer's HOME ribbon, there are icons for Move To and Copy to. There is a drop down list of destinations for each icon.

Is there any way at all to clear these lists? I haven't found a way yet.

Thank you for your help! J. Danniel

I don't think you can clear the default list such as: Desktop, Documents etc...
But for the folders that you recently used to move/copy, the lists are stored in: C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent

Where USER is your user name.

Thank you for replying.

Unfortunately, cleaning out the Recent Items folder did not clear out the Move/Copy To lists. Even after rebooting.

I wonder if there's a registry key for this.....

Clear "Move To"

I have been having the same problem in Win 10 creators. (I must have had close to 30 items and couldn't figure how to clear them.

I wound up clearing the windows browser history and they all disappeared.

I had the same problem a while back and I remembered I was somehow able to delete the individual items from the list itself, however when I tried it this time, it didn't work and I wound up clearing the browser history and that cleared them.:thumb:
