How rename system-folders (so that they stay renamed)?

Let's say I would like to have one place with only the following folders:

If I click on my username I get folders for My Photos, My Music etc... I would like to rename those folders so that they -stay- renamed.
When I renamed the 'Downloads'-folder to 'Temp' it stayed renamed for about 30 minutes and then for some reason it switched its name back to 'Downloads'.

    Another thing:
As stated above i would like to have -only- the folders of my choosing within the "Username"-folder. But then what can I do about the 'AppData'-folder which is also within the 'Username'-folder?

One way around it is to create a new folder and then just change your Libraries so they all point to that one folder. AppData is a hidden folder so just uncheck the box for showing hidden files or ignore it. Messing around with that folder is likely to hose your system.
Library - Create New Library in Windows 8
Library - Add a Folder to in Windows 8
Library - Remove Folder from in Windows 8

It is best not to rename system provided folders. Nothing but pain awaits you on that road.

unable to rename folders in windows 8.1
Hi I run Windows 8.1 and out of the blue I've recently found that I cant rename a new folder that I've created (so far I've tried it in music , docs , photos and by creating a folder on desktop so seems pretty universal). I've not installed any programmes (except for the latest windows updates)...

Folder view not working for certain system folders
I don't understand why you can't customize folder views for the Program Files (x86) and Windows folders on your system drive. If you right click on either of these, there is no "customize" tab. That setting, however, is available to their sub-folders, although it's mostly a farce. If you select all...
