What folder are you trying to create and where are you trying to create it.

In other words, what are you doing when this happens. Please be specific.

Thanks

I am having the same problem. I created a "new folder" and placed some video and PowerPoint documents in it (reorganizing for a class lecture); I then transferred the folder to my flash drive. When I tried to delete the folder the contents were deleted but not the folder. When I try to delete the folder nothing happens, and when I try to open the folder I am told that the folder is corrupted or unreadable. I tried to delete the folder in safe mode but this didn't work. Also I created a Word document and when I tried to put in the that folder I got the following message: Error: 0x80070570. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the disk s.m.a.r.t. log with Crystal DiskInfo, if it comes clean, run a chkdsk /r /f from an administrative command prompt, then run memtest for some loops to discard ram errors.
