Windows Media Center - Shortcut?

Hi.

I want to change the start page of my Windows Media Center (WMC), so I googled and found this page:

15 Media Center tips and tweaks for Windows 7 | News | TechRadar

Step 3 is exactly what I want to do:

3. Combine switches
It's possible to combine switches if they don't directly contradict one another.
For example, to skip the startup animation and start in your pictures library, enter the following in the Target field: %windir%\ehome\eshell.exe /mediamode /nostartup animation /homepage:photos BrowsePage.xml /PushStart Page:True.

(Except I want to start in the Video Librabry.)
The only problem I have is that I am not starting WMC with a shortcut. I have a remote controller connected to my computer with a WMC button on - which starts WMC when the button is pressed.
-Is it possible to combine the 3rd step with my remote controller button?

EDIT:
I have this controller (the one to the left, number 1):

Found on HP's website:

I figured that there's a script or something in the drivers of the infrared reciever that is connected to my computer. I am guessing that script tells my computer what to do when I press buttons on the remote controller.

I found two files belonging to the driver:
1. C:\WINDOWS\system32\CIRCoInst.dll
2. C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\usbcir.sys

I am guessing that 1 is some sort of installation file. Which means that number 2 is the actual script thingie.
Now I just need to edit usbcir.sys somehow, to do the following: when I press the button open <target shortcut> instead of the actual software itself.

Is this possible and can someone help me do it?

Hello Phrosen,

I'm not sure about the remote button unless you are able to program it to use the same command as the shortcut.

Here's a shortcut that will open Windows Media Center directly to video library.
Hope this helps some, :)
Shawn

Thanks, but I already managed to do that.
Like I said: I'm guessing that the drivers for my remote control infrared usb reciever tells my computer what to do when I press the button. I am also guessing that if I only could edit these drivers I could change so that instead of running the actual program it runs the modified shortcut instead - which in turn would start my Media Center in the Video Library. Far fetched, I know.

So, anyone know how to edit a .dll or .sys file?
I tried downloading a program called dotpeek and tried to open the .dll file, but nothing would show up - as if the program was unable to read the file.
