win 8 goes to sleep (i think) and won't wake up

I try hitting the power button, nothing. I have to restart, it takes a long time to read the hd's in bios, then when it restarts there is no network connection, so I need to restart again.

no real pattern to this, sometimes I leave the machine on all night and no problems, other times just a couple hours and it happens.

I am also using a wireless mouse/kb if that makes a difference.

I think you switch to second screen try to plug-in the second monitor and switch only PC screen only

Hi,
I do not have two monitors plugged in and control panel reflects that. You're saying to plug the monitor into the other jack on video card?

hi, try going into control panel /power options ,and turn off sleep and turning off harddrive and see how it works ,for me i never use these features because of problems i had a long time ago with them .
