splitting the screen

ok im new here and not sure where this should go sooooo...

ok my question is in the comercial for windows 8 ... it showed the screen split into two and it showed the operator minimise a picture.. hw the heck do you split the screen??

Good question. When you have multiple apps running in Windows 8, move your mouse pointer to the left hand side of the your screen until you see the second window. When the second window appears, click and hold the apps you want in the second windowit and drag it to either left or right hand side and you are done.

In many different ways the screen can be split.
You could go to your desktop and put your mouse pointer to the top of the screen until you see a hand.
Drag it to the left or right until it snaps in place.

How big is your screen? You need 1366x768 for Metro Snap to work. If your screen is too small Metro Snap will not work. You can still do slit screen, you just can't do it in Metro
