Hi,
I've been struggling to setup the Windows 8 computer for my 80 yr old uncle and blind brother (who live together and share the computer). I installed the Window Eyes screen reading software, and unfortunately it doesn't work as well as it did on Windows XP. We're close to downgrading the computer to 7 or XP. One of the major obstacles is the user log-in screen, or the lock screen. I know there are ways to completely disable it, but we actually need some sort of lock screen. The problem is that they use different users, and the Window Eyes screen reader needs to be able to highlight the different users and narrate what your choosing. The W8 lockscreen makes it hard to do that.
So is there any alternative lockscreens we can look into? Any suggestions from anyone who has familiarity using screen reading software? Thanks!
