Hello,

I was recently experimenting with partitions and i had to assign 50 GB of disk space to a partition. Sadly, I noticed that after I deleted it I can't add it back to my main hard drive's space. Does anyone know how I can do this so I have all my disk space again?

Looking at the screen, I am not sure why you have 2 system reserved partitions and they are both 100MB. Normally the system reserved for Windows 8 is 350MB. Did you upgrade to Windows 8 from the previous version of Windows ?

To merge the 50GB back together with C: drive, they need to be adjacent and Windows 8 disk management cannot move partition. You may need to use a third party disk management to move them next to each other to merge.

You can download this freeware, install it and move:
Best Free Partition Manager Freeware and free partition magic for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Vista and Windows XP 32 bit & 64 bit. MiniTool Free Partition Manager Software Home Edition.

BTW, be careful and make a backup before playing with disk management.

I actually attempted to install Mac on the PC and after I installed it with no drivers I had 2 system reserved... but when I had one it was also 100 MB. I did happen to upgrade from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 8, though. How should I move the unallocated space, though?

EDIT: Ignore that, I found it. Thank you, that worked perfectly!

When you install the Partition Manager from the link above, there is an option for you to move partition and you'll be able to move the 50GB before the 101MB reserved partition. I am not sure what the 101MB partition is for so I won't recommend to delete it but if you can delete it then that would make the unallocated partition to be 50GB+101MB and would be next to the C: drive then you can right click on the C: drive and select extent volume without the need to using the freeware above.

EDIT: I posted this before finding out you got it sorted. Great !!!
