No unfortunately I DID it before and it is not checked.
Of course I tried it first.

I even tried with several different mouse.
No ideas now, and it is impossible to use the laptop.

May I try something in the regedit?

Just being sure. Your specs show a Lenovo ThinkPad E530. Are you talking about a mouse or a touchpad/trackpad? If touchpad, then you might need to deselect tap to click--in the touchpad/trackpad section of Control Panel > Mouse.

how old is this mouse? maybe you have the double-click syndrome.

here's a sample of the behavior:
TR Forums • View topic - can mouse be rescued??? button keeps double-clicking!

The button started double-clicking a lot of the times now. It's almost unusable. I haven't done anything to the mouse. The button's not sticking. It's not dirty. I opened it up to see if the button was sticking or dirty and it's not. Smooth clicking motion like always. It hasn't been dropped.

Switches eventually wear out.

You *might* be able to replace the switch if you are handy with a soldering iron and can find the exact same switch on a site like Digi-Key.

Before taking it apart, try putting a single drop of machine oil onto the little microswitch and then clicking it a few times to let the oil soak in.

My Razer Deathadder mouse had that problem within a year of purchase but after I oiled all the switches, it hasn't had a problem in years.

I'm guessing any light penetrating oil is probably about as good as any other for this experiment. Sewing machine oil certainly fits the bill. The "3-in-1" stuff they sell at the hardware should be OK too.

One caveat: Petroleum products can damage certain plastics, so try to keep it confined to the switch plunger. If it damages the switch that's no biggie since the switch is dying anyway; but try to keep it off the other plastic parts of the mouse.

My guess is that it displaces dirt. But there may also be something to the "analog debounce" theory -- if there's excessive contact bounce due to worn contacts, the presence of a thin oil film would likely reduce it (assuming it doesn't prevent the contacts from closing outright).

alright, first mistake was thinking I could control the WD40 spray... lots of cleanup afterward... :p

that aside, it's only been 10 minutes of use but so far, it's been looking good for the left mouse button. no double-clicking, no rubber banding when I didn't want it, etc.

I think you may have a conflict with the touchpad. Are you able to disable it?
Otherwise, try this. make a note, in case you need to change it back again!
Open regedit and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Control Panel / Mouse

Change both of the "mousehover" entries parameters to "0"

Use several different computers during a day, so specs are irrelevant.
Now in my desperation I installed again w8 from scratch, and it is the same.
Everything opens if the mouse is hovered.
No program, no drivers are installed.
Could it be some hardvare-problem?

All right, but I tried with 2 different wireless mouse, and 2 wired simple mouse. All of them is optical mouses.
No difference, it opens all on mousehover.

Heureka!
Maybee I found the solution!!
The laptop
has 3 USB3 connection, and one USB2.
The USB2 is on tha side I use the mouse. If I put in tha other side in one of the USB3 , the problem is disappeared.

It took me only 50 hours work to try everything and ask everybody I knew.

Thanks for the help and advice!!
The USB2 input is corrupt!
