Hi`

This is a screenshot of Windows 8 task manager ... when fully optimized & customized for my use.

It does not look like this nor does it have or saved the settings I set to it previous windows boot session.

Any method to have task manager remember all settings, even if I restart or power down pc?

Set task manager minimized or maximized on Windows start up?

I do know that these options or easily customizable settings are possible in Windows 7.

Hello iTriP,

Looks like your PC is just sitting there and doing nothing so how does that equate to an optimization? I think you need to go into a little more detail and give us a hint as to what you did to optimize your PC. Just a thought.

Well quite simple and to tell you what I meant with regards to your question on my equation of optimization in tems of the layout of the window (task manager application) in this case.

I found a method that the task manager can be set with custom settings and then remain with those applied settings and must then be exited by clicking >file>exit task manager, instead of closing it any other way witch always resulted in task manager getting reset.

This caused some minor confusion when I first experienced this behaviour. And its was unknown why the windows task manager window desposed of my prefered layout and settings if not closed by this method. (windows 8, in offline mode)

Windows backup and restore or windows updates probably also did not make it easier
to identify a smooth workaround.(windows 8, in online mode)

On a good note, the lack of activity noticed in my screenshot does infact equate to an optimization
witch is the result of my method to setup windows, thus having all power of all the pc components
instantly available & dedicated too any task I wish to run.

I haven't looked at that. Will see next time I boot into 8.

Possibly just an programming oversight. doubt that it would ever be patched in an update.

We might be able to sort it out in the registry in some manner, post below if you know how.
