One of the worst things is that it keeps adding things there. I installed a codedc pack and metro filled up with lots of icons. It's annoying to remove them all. It's also very harder to get every icon in the right place, I move them up, and they go left!

Well, this is the least of the problems of this Start Screen. It is barely passable for tablets, it should not be inflicted on desktop/laptop users. Unfortunately, MS will forge ahead until disaster strikes.

BTW, for tablets, I think that ICS presents a far better GUI that has all the supposed advantages of "Metro" (updating widgets) in a far more visually appealing environment. MS tablets will pale in comparison

Can't say anything about Windows Eight yet as I have not downloaded the pre-beta version(s) yet.
Will wait for 6 months after the release to the public and see what their reviews say.

Dennis, I think you should at least try the Beta - when available. It costs nothing and you get a hands-on experience. It takes only about 15GBs (estimated) of your hard drive.

Don't worry. We'll get it installed. Piece of cake. And then we'll get drunk -just a bit
