No power options customization

Hello windows 8 forums,

I have this problem of not being able to customize power options. I get this error :



Furthermore creating a custom also fails




I have no idea what setting my computer as a result is using. I also blue screen when my lid of my laptop shuts, im going to guess because of the lack of a profile to tell it what to do. I believe it was exception not handled monitior.sys (but im not sure) Any thoughts on why this is happening, cause and what could fix it?

You might want to try a refresh using Brink's excellent tutorial; however, please read carefully before attempting because you're going to have to do some reinstalls afterwards.
