Windows Easy Transfer Question

i've used windows easy transfer a few times (over a network), always worked like a charm, but this time i want to transfer just files/folders and not any settings. thought i had it figured out using et's advanced settings (i.e. manually selected specific files and folders only) but et went ahead and also transferred settings as well (desktop personalization settings for example). is there a way to use use et to just transfer files and folders without settings? thanks for your help!
