both of my computers now have a serious bug... this only happened after I installed the February patch Tuesday updates. after using the pc for a while Windows 8 stops responding to keyboard presses. it just makes a "click" sound and doesn't input any letters. here's what I mean: Serious bug: Windows 8 doesn't allow me to type!!!! - YouTube

Do you also have this problem? I can't believe Microsoft didn't catch this bug.

I am installing 11 updates right now.

I can tell you with confidence this is not a Bug in Windows.
I will stand corrected if it affects me as well. But I know it will not.

There is no such thing as a bug that affects only one in less than few hundred people.

A bug will affect a large number of people across a large number of hardware in the same manner.
Just because it is something that is happening only to you, does not constitute a bug.

So, have you checked your keyboard settings in control panel?
have you shut your system down completely and let it sit for a couple of minutes and turn back on?
It's possible there may have been a driver update that affected it, but that would not have been done by Microsoft, Drivers are submitted to MS to be put in Windows Updates by the Manufacturer, but Microsoft does not create them, talk to the manufacturer of the hardware.

My keyboard didn't work yesterday.. turned out it was the accelerometer.. the windows/Lenovo thought I was in tablet mode even though It wasn't. I was panicking before I realise all I need to do is shake my laptop.

okay so far this problem happened to me 5 times, on both my laptops and my surface RT tablet. i'm pretty sure it's the updates that caused this. unfortunately I don't know which one since I installed all of them at the same time.

You may need to calibrate your accelerometer.
