How to remove folder "windows.old" as well $WINDOWS.~BT

For unknown reason, I have found 2 folders "windows.old" [8.47 GB] and "$WINDOWS.~BT" [4.60 GB] . So it worth to remove them.

I tried to to remove "windows.old" using delete but i failed. The system said "you will need to provide adminstrative permission to delete this folder] . I am Admistratoror and the only user. when I click on <continue> , the system act as it seletes it but at the end said Folder Access Denied.. You require permission from SYSTEM to make the changes to this folder.

when I tried to delete "$WINDOWS.~BT" , the system said :you need permission from TrustedInstaller to make changes to this folder.

I have solved the problem by using "Disk Clean-up" - then press on <Clean up system files>, i have found item named "old windows installation" among the list of prospective files or folder t delete . By checking that item , the two folders related to the old.windows installation were gone.
