    Stability would be good lol.
I'd like to see a mode just for administration tasks. For example to get to the actual nitty gritty of the system I can only see two ways of getting there right now. Going into the desktop app and digging through there or going to settings, even more settings blah blah blah. To get to anything you have to jump through hoops and i smell trouble. What if they made ONE place password protected where you could find the MMC, command line, advanced setting and recovery options? ONE place. Someplace where it would be easy to get to should the metro interface crap out. Even the f8 option is limited. Ive not seen any safe mode or variety of it per say, It looks like if one thing goes wrong it would mean forever worth of navigating to fix it.
    Just sayin.

I think navigating could be reduced. I installed the Developer Build on a friend's laptop and they were asking why you need to do all that just to shutdown. It's a little much honestly. As for Desktop Control Panel, you can easily pin it to the Taskbar.

I've gotten quite used to the Metro interface and it's rather awesome. I showed a few friends of mine the Start Screen and the Metroness of it, their minds were blown. A couple nights ago I actually whined at the fact that I had to boot into Windows 7. Yeah.

Has device detection ever been an issue for anyone else ? If so, improved detection would be great.

On a laptop, all one needs to to is hit the power button or close the lid. Well, at least that's what I do.

Granted, a "restart" is a bit different on a laptop (same as a desktop, actually) but no more complicated than it's ever been.

That has always been my experience as well.

A way to completely turn off the metro side. I have no use for it on my laptop.

    Hi there.

Easily done with current technology -- like we have already with MOBILE PHONES

SCREEN MIRRORING please --then we can keep the number of cables down very significantly.

    Cheers
