Internal sata drives in safely remove hardware

There was a registry fix for this problem as here:

In Windows 8, though, the registry is different, as there is no \msahci under \services as here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\msahci

Can I have advice on how to do this, please?

Have you tried looking in your BIOS? Many bioses have an option to mark SATA drives as "Hot Swappable". Make sure it's disabled, and you won't have the option.

I just looked in the BIOS, but there is no option in mine to mark SATA drives as hot swappable.

I'm curious what would happen if I safe remove sata drives...

So, nobody knows then?
