Windows 8 startup issues

Hello, to be honest I hate windows 8 right now. When I start my computer startup is slow and then when I get to desktop all the programs that are set to start at startup don't start. I try to launch google chrome and it never starts. For some reason, when I open folders it opens fast. Now here is where it gets weird. It appears that using the force restart button on my PC fixes the issues until I restart or sign out and in. Please help...

Did you do an upgrade install? A clean install is what it may take to get things sorted.

Try running sfc /scannow. No luck? Then you might try creating a new user account of the same type you currently use to see if things clear up. You eventually can return to your original user name if you want. See this thread. There is another way to get back to your original user account name, but I would not use it. If creating a new user account does not help, then just delete the new account without doing anything else.
