Solved Lock screen

I have my sleep/hibernation mode and log on password disabled but when my computer is idled for awhile it goes to the Lock Screen and then I have to enter my password. This just started a few days ago so what happened and how do I stop it from going to the Lock Screen?

To disable the lock screen you have quite a few options.

1. Users -> Settings and you will see Sign-In Options, click where it says ''Any users who has a password must enter it when waking this PC'' - underneath it it has a Change option.

3. Control Panel -> Power Options - > Change Settings That Are Currently Unavailable - Disable ''Require A Password On Wake Up''

This didn't work, The Lock Screen still come up and I still have to enter my password. What I don't understand is why only now this Lock Screen is coming on when it didn't before.

I even tried this:

It can't even find "gpedit.msc" when I type it in "run".

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings

and set "Put the computer to sleep" to Never

I have done that already.

I have search the web for an answer for days and everything I tried doesn't work. My wife has Windows 8 too and the Lock Screen doesn't even show up and nothing was done to disable it. My Lock Screen just all of a sudden started to appear after the computer has been idled for awhile a few days ago. This is driving me nuts that I can't find a solution.

Double check your Screen Saver Settings to make sure that you have unchecked the On resume, display logon screen box.

Brink, your last reply worked, "Double check your Screen Saver Settings to make sure that you have unchecked the On resume, display logon screen box". That took care of the Logon screen, then I set the screen saver to "none" and the Lock stopped appearing.
