When I import my photos from an SD card, it goes to the Photo Library on the Start Menu, is there a way I can insert the photos in a folder of my choice?

There should be a menu allowing you to choose the destination folder. Are you using the manufacturer software or the windows software?

These are my choices:

Import Photos & Videos
Photos

View Pictures
Photo Gallery

Create Disc or Edit Image
Media Suite 10

Turn Photo into Masterpieces
Photo Director2

Create Disc or Edit Video
Media Suite 10

Play
Windows Media Player

Open Folder to View Files
File Explorer

Take no action

When I select Import Photo & Videos, it doesn't ask where I want it to go, it just goes into the Photo Library in the Start Menu.

I deleted my photos from the file in the start menu and now I'm left with a blank photo file with the title of the file and an "error" in the upper letf hand corner. How do I get rid of thjis file now that has no photos?

What would be the proper way to delete a photo file from the Photo Library? I deleted the photos but the file with no photos in it is still there.

Open Windows Explorer. Browse to the SD card and copy the photo's. Then browse to the destination where you want the photo's to be placed and paste them there.

Easy as proverbial pie :)

Nothing says you have to use that popup to open, view or move files...I just close that popup and did exactly what Der Snoober suggested, with any media device....eg cd/dvd, thumb drive or sd card. Always have in all windows versions.
