Thank you very much :)

The only thing that annoys me is that when you move your mouse in the bottom right corner you can't click the Show Desktop button. Can you help me with that?

Hello RandomUsername,

Sure you can. The Show Desktop button is not visible on the taskbar until you click/tap on it like below.

Show_Desktop.jpg

If you like, here's a "Show Desktop" shortcut that may be easier to use.

Hope this helps, :)

I didn't think you would reply to me on this thread :)

Sorry, but this doesn't help me. I'm using Aero Lite and I also can't click the notification area icons when the cursor is at the bottom of the screen. I guess this is a more complex issue :p

Could be an issue with the Aero Lite theme. You might try uninstalling it as a test to see how things work afterwards.

It's the same with the default Aero Theme. Have you tried it?

And do you mean by "uninstalling" removing the msstyles file?

No, I haven't tried them.

Uninstall or undo however you applied the theme.

You might also try doing a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated before this started.

Let me clarify my problem. If I put my cursor on the bottom of the screen, I can't click the button, but if I move it one pixel up, I can click it.

So, is it the same with you?

Well, that information would have been helpful from the start. Just move it up one pixel, and no more problem. :p

It's that way for me with the pinned items on the taskbar, but not for the system icons in the notification area or the Show Desktop button.

64-bit Windows 8 Enterprise, but it could just be the custom theme you're using throwing it off a little bit.

I don't use a custom theme. Aero and Aero Lite come with Win8. :D

I know you wrote that it fixed itself, but I was wondering if you can expand on things you tried to solve it.

I have this problem too. If I move my mouse pointer to the absolute bottom-right of the screen, the Show Desktop button is not clickable. If I move my mouse pointer up literally one pixel, the button becomes clickable.

It's incredibly frustrating.
