oh your reply raised my tension....ok I will tell you the all steps what I did cause I am doing same many times/////
1.as u see I have one c drive primary and d and e drive I made logical and I created new drive for installation of windows 8
2, I inserted windows 7 dvd and restarted the dell laptop and pressed f12 and choose the option from dvd install
3.i choose the language and clicked in install[
4 went to custom and formatted the system reserve and c drive to clean everything..
5, choosing c drive I clicked next and waited to windows expanding filles 100% and pc roobooted the I did all process like naming pc .user etc and at last I got the win 7 desktop then
6, I inserted win 8 n and choose language and again custom option was choosen and this time I formatted new disk made drive of 30 gb and did next and rest same process and went to windows 8 desktop....same I was doing many times but I didn't see the system 100 MB disk....
so is there anything wrong in the installation? please suggest or ask me any thing that u didn't understand but help me plz
and you told about harmful...what type of harming ..
and I am posting u disk manager too and there is only one system reserved disk NOT TW0.....so does it harm? QUOTE=theog;165679]
If you read the various posts I linked previously you will see answers to all your questions.
In Summary:
1. The System Reserved 'drive' only appears if you upgrade to Win 8 or if you create the partition to install Win 8 when you are installing it.
2. It does no harm to your PC - Windows did create it at installation for a reason.
3. Once created it can be removed - but this is not easy and is not just a case of 'deleting' it
4. It can be hidden from Explorer by simply removing the 'drive' letter in Disk Management
Reading the links I posted explain all of this - but more fully.
