Did System Restore work and start still can't be accessed or System restore did not work?

Windows 8 start screen is not loading? I am using task manager to open my computer and everything else. any advise?
Here are some possibilities:

Option 1:
Startup to installer--Install DVD or Install Flash Drive;
Choose language, etc.
Hit next
Choose “Repair your computer”
Choose “Troubleshoot” for these options:
Refresh your PC
Reset your PC
Advanced Options

Choose "Advanced Options" for these additional options:
System Restore
System Image Recovery
Automatic Repair
Command Prompt

The options in bold are the ones I think are more pertinent to you at this point.

Refresh your PC—Attempts to solve system problems by replacing system files without affecting user files (similar to what a repair install does WRT to system files at least under earlier Win versions). User files still should be backed up. Installed programs will have to be reinstalled except those from the Windows Store. A list of uninstalled programs is provided. Settings will be changed back to defaults.

Reset your PC—Removes everything and reinstalls Win8.

Automatic Repair—Attempts to make repairs needed to allow Win8 to startup properly.

Opinon 2: If you have an ISO, then mount the ISO and run set up. In effect, you will be able to choose to Refresh your PC or to Reset Your PC.

Edit: I rewrote the above for (hopefully) clarity enhancement.

One possibility is to do an automatic repair. Check this link out. If you end up needing to take more serious action, then here are some possibilities (knowing already that system restore did not solve the problem):

Startup to installer DVD or other install medium;
Choose language, etc.
Hit next
Choose “Repair your computer”
Choose “Troubleshoot” to see these options:
Refresh your PC
Reset your PC

User files still should be backed up. Installed programs will have to be reinstalled except those from the Windows Store. A list of uninstalled programs is provided. Settings will be changed back to defaults. To do a refresh, you will need to have install media.” ”Install media” include an install disc, an ISO, and a flash drive set up to install.

Reset your PC—Removes everything and reinstalls Win8 . To do a reset, you will need to have install media” as mentioned above.

The link shows how to use automatic repair using the windows 8 start screen! (windows 8 start screen doesnt show)
i dont have installer dvd - :/

OK. You can create an appropriate install medium using this Win8 forum tutorial. Hopefully, you have the needed ISO. From here, see my post #8 for the available options.

Edit: I rewrote the above, eliminating unnecessary details. for clarity.

Please read my post #12. I don't think you saw it. It is a new one. Or maybe your post #13 is an accidental duplicate post.

Clarification: I think I see what's going on. The original link I gave on automatic repair (now eliminated) generates confusion. The bottom line is that you will need an install DVD or install flash drive to do an automatic repair.

Edit: Things got confusing so I attempted to clarify above.

RE your post #15. How are you going to install? And, you don't make the ISO. You burn one to a disc to create an install DVD of one type or another.

Is it a downloaded ISO? You can mount one and do a clean install.

Edit: I shouldn't have said clean install here. Refresh and Reset are possible at this point--which are close to clean installs.
