Please help
Here's the story:
My cousin played minecraft on my laptop for maybe an hour. Then later, he told me that my laptop froze, so he turned it off by holding the switch. When we turned the laptop on again, it took a long time before it got past the boot screen. Then here comes the problem. After the boot screen, the screen was just blank, but with a cursor. Then I waited, but nothing is happening. So I restarted the PC, then the boot screen has now a "Preparing Automatic Repair" text below the buffering circle. The boot screen went off immediately but the same thing has happened. Then I tried the Windows 8 Installation disc. I tried reinstalling, but I waited for like 5 hours, and the screen is stuck at "Setup is starting..". It didn't work. So I tried "Repair your computer" . I tried Refresh, but it says "the drive where windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive and try again." But I don't know how to unlock the drive. So I tried Reset, didn't work either. Tried Automatic Repair, but it was stuck on the "Diagnosing your PC.." screen. Tried command prompt and used bcdedit and chkdsk commands, but again, it didn't work. I want to update the BIOS, but how can I if it won't go to the desktop? I've googled the best that I can and I can see many people having the same problem as I have but were not resolved.
If there are solutions where I don't have to reformat my laptop, then I would really appreciate it.
So here are the Specs of my laptop:
NP300V5A-S05CA - TECH SPECS | SAMSUNG
It is kinda slightly overclocked but I am confident that it's not the reason why this problem occured. Dual-boot with Windows 7 (which I don't know how to access since it won't go to the OS selection screen.)
I know this problem can be resolved. Thank you for those who will help me fix this problem!
