Windows Blue is the rumor - no idea what it is tho.

To date, Blue doesn't sound like it will help many of us with our problems with Win8. This is the sort of thing I am seeing on Blue.

windows blue is suppose to be the service pack update, just done differently where it will be a yearly update of certain functions and features while retaining what the developers know how to use.

sounds more like a project header than an o/s.

Well, a year ago there was a leaked Microsoft roadmap that had Windows 9 pointed out for a 2014 release, so about 22 or so months from now...

That was a year ago.

This Windows Blue update falls under the Windows 8 branch, it will be released mid-2013, probably June or so. I bet it's the month SP1 of Windows 7 was released, and SP1 was supposed to be released a year right after it came out I remember but was postponed. The Blue update I think it more or less like a Windows 8.5 update, as it's rumored that smaller tile sizes will be available on the Start Screen, mostly likely to mesh Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 a bit better.

OH! It may also be 2014 as some leaked info from inside Microsoft says that Steve Ballmer, the CEO, recently split the Windows division to focus on both Windows 8 and 9, as some people have been shifted around within the division. Also, he's expecting a new Windows version every two years.

So this kind of makes the Blue update an interim update to soften the blow of UI changes.

When microsoft will be fully happy with 8 and ready for another money hunt

you may regret that if it is what many think it is, windows 8 without the familiar windows 7 touches

they release ME in September 2000 and XP in October 2001 , 13 months later Vista was there only for 30 months when they release 7. XP was there for 8 years

Sooner rather than later hopefully.
