I am running 2 pc's which are hard wired into one router, they are dual booting win7 and win8.#1 is win7 ultimate 64 and win8 pro 64. #2 is win7 home premium 64 and win 8 pro 32. All C drives are SSD'S. I have made up rotary switches in each pc to only power up the drives to the pre-selected OS that I want to use. This beats the traditional dual booting as there is no way to muddle things up. The data drives are also switched. The rotary switches have three positions, the centre position cuts off all hdd's but allows a separate caddy mounted hdd if I fancy linux etc. Anyway, getting back to a win8 subject at last, I surfed the web on one machine and saved some websites to favorites, I also downloaded some nice desktop pictures as a slideshow. I thought I was losing my marbles when the saved favourites and the desktop themes appeared on the other machine (only on w8). Can anyone explain this?

So both Win8 machines are playing "copycat" - is that what you're saying?

If you use a Microsoft account for Win8 it syncs those settings in the cloud and all your Win8 machines will share those settings. I first discovered this when I build an RTM machine and it came up with the same desktop theme I had used with a Release Preview machine. I didn't tell it to do that - it just did.
