I've decided to switch back to RP its been very nice, aero glass is great and theres been no issues in performance. I can't go into much detail but theres certain things I did to RP which makes it a fully working OS. In my success I just thought I'd create a poll to see how many actually would like to see aero glass back.

1. Photo of RTM, no Aero glass or transparency option.

2. Photo of RP, Aero Glass transparency options.

Happy voting :)

Mine will work forever, I can not talk about what I did though. My point for posting this topic is to see how people react to the RP look vs RTM look. " RTM should have a transparency option just like RP did." MS should not have taken away choice from people.

I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other. I kind of like the simplistic look. An option would be nice though.

It may continue to work, but you won't receive any security updates, including anti-virus.

I don't plan on using it long term, only until MS makes an aero glass patch. I have my own security software, firewall and web browser with integrated protection. I make sure I'm protected, this is more of a project to learn the inner working core of windows 8. I run testing on VM also with RTM to bring back the Aero glass. I don't know how much I can talk about it on here, but I'll just say its my own personal hobby, and I like learning how windows really works. If I can help bring back aero glass, then I will because I know people really like having it as an option.

I've noticed something has changed with RTM after installing back to work on aero glass. I first installed the RP theme but no aero glass then did the high contrast trick for transparency. Which I defaulted back because of its bugginess, when I noticed the theme suddenly has borders and the taskbar has no transparency anymore. Ok I'll post these pics to show you.

1. Windows 8 RTM default theme untouched

2. Windows 8 RTM theme, RP theme applied, high contrast hack applied but then canceled. Now shows black borders, clock is black text instead of white, window tittle text is sharper.

Reminder -- This is still an open poll, feel free to way in any opinions about aero glass. MDL is currently working on a patch but having a difficult time so for. As for the RP version, my methods of making it a fully working OS past expiration date are being tested now, only time will tell if they work but I'm getting close to figuring it out.
