Well i downloaded PE Explorer to use this for changing the name of the start menu.

Everthing worked fine, but after restarting nothing happened.

So i retried and retried, finally seeing that the downloaded program "Take Ownership" did not do the trick, so i manually arranged to get full control of the "Twinui.dll.mui" file.

copied it back to the destination folder, but did not a restart.

End of the day i did shut the pc down and when i restarted this morning, pain came around.

the only thing i saw was a black screen and a useless taskbar on the bottom.

ctrl+alt+del to get in taskmanager. Scrolled down to find explorer and tried to rename the new Twinui.dll.mui and rename the .sav file.

Again nothing.

Tried to copy from another Windows 8 computer the needed file, but again no luck.

Had to put in my Enyo drive with Win 8 on and hit repair. Windows says i can keep personal settings, but after the repair i get a list of programs to reinstall, like

Office 2010
ITunes
fancy cache
Intel Rapid Storage Technology
Java
Adobe
Samsung SSD Magician
Telenet security pack

and needed to recreate a list of shortcuts for the Start Menu.

In fact Windows 8 just repaired everything, like a fresh install, just keeping the personal settings, thus creatins a Windows.old.

My god, and that for repairing ONE DLL.
