Well then run:
SFC /SCANNOW,
if that doesn't work, open:
Task Manager, and go to Start-Up tab, then uncheck the unneeded start-up items.
If Either of those doesn't work, try:
Refresh Windows 8.
If it still don't work, try:
Reset. (WARNING! All data will be lost in the Windows Partition).

First thing to keep in mind is that many of those "tune up" apps actually cause damage to systems, creating or exacerbating problems in the process. For example, a lot of people right after Windows 8 was released had a number of different problems caused by cCleaner deleting necessary files.

In general, no. Windows 8 is not incredibly buggy. There have been various hiccups, particularly, some people seem to be having problems with certain updates. But Windows 8 has been very solid for the most part.

The vast majority of people that have had problems did an upgrade install, versus a clean install. Upgrades are often problematic and carry over problems that existed in their old Windows, or have new problems caused by an unexpected configuration or driver that wasn't tested.

I have long argued that Microsoft should not support upgrade installs, but they do.. and problems continue to exist because of it.. Luckily, this situation is short lived as most people that do an upgrade do so shortly after a new version of Windows is released.

I agree, just check my thread on Problem with Explorer with the problem being explorer restarts after launching a metro app. Refresh and/or Reset did the fix.
Also on VM I tested Windows Me to Windows XP upgrade on VPC2007, VM Addition cannot install due to conflicts on the KERNEL32.DLL.
Like Mystere said, upgrade install is just problematic.

Hi saurabh808, (OK Brummy, sorted my glitch out, thanks for help).

Try Defragmenting C:/ drive.
Start..Programs..Administrative tools..Defragment and Optimise.

Then clean out (Prefetch) Windows looks in there first before it boots up.
Bottom left corner, Click (File explorer)..Windows..(Down to), Prefetch.
Now your in Prefetch, Click on (Home) Click (Select All).
Click Home again, then (Delete).
It won't harm your PC, just make it quicker.

There is also an (Intel) Win 8 Chipset software utility.
Goto Inter (Download center).
Get Intel to check your PC.
Intel will give you a list of Driver Updates you need.
The new Chipset is for (7 6 5 4 3 900) and the
Win 8 Chipset is (9 3 0 1026) from in my case (9 3 0 1019)..XP).

If your not shure about how to install it, Intel have said It will
be in one of Windows official Updates soon.

BF.

After installing Win8 over Win7 on my ASUS G73JH All my upper keyboard keys quit working. I could not change the brightness of my screen. I had to go to the ASUS Support and reinstall the drivers that Win8 had removed at the install operation. It's a good time to check for any new items your system might be needing. I upgraded everything I could and it solved my problem.
