Windows cannot boot

I have 2 drives, one with win7 and the other with win8, i was trying to remove win7 when i made win8 to be the active drive, when i reboot it stays in an error screen saying that boot files are missing, now i can't start up my windows, so far all i can do is repair it using a cd but all i can do is get a bootable usb, will it work?

Physically disconnect the Windows 7 HD drive.
Make the Windows 8 HD, disk0 & first HD boot in BIOS.Also connected to the first Sata port on the MOBO.

Than do a Auto Repair first, than work down the list below until Windows is booting OK.

No no no, isn't the active one is the System Reserved Partition?

No no no, isn't the active one is the System Reserved Partition?

NO.

The System Reserved Partition is on the Windows 7 HD Drive.

Well then boot to Recovery Environment,
on Command Prompt type:

bootrec.exe /fixmbr
bootrec.exe /fixboot
bootsect.exe /NT60 ALL
