Hi I have just upgraded to windows 8 via the upgrade assistant

I selected to keep my applications and settings all when well with the update and windows 8 is running fine.

My question is if I look at my C: with windows explorer I can see a folder called windows old his folder is approx. 28Gb and has 111.584 files in it.

Can I delete this folder without problems

regards :D

Hold on! It contains your old files from your previous Windows installation. If you have all of your personal documents, then you may delete it. Otherwise, back up your personal docs from C:\Windows.old\Users\username\My documents, downloads, etc. Then, you can delete the folder. :)

Be sure all your devices are working properly. Sometimes you may need drivers from old Windows.
